Dutch Split Pea Soup

- pork hock400 g
- smoked sausage250 g
- onion1
- leek1
- carrots2
- celeriac200 g
- potatoes2
- bay leaf1

Yapılışı
- Rinse the split peas and put them in a large pot with the water, pork hock, and bay leaf.
- Bring to a boil, skim off any foam, then simmer gently for about 1 hour.
- Chop the onion, leek, carrots, celeriac, and potatoes and add them to the pot.
- Simmer for another 45 minutes until the peas have broken down and the soup is very thick.
- Remove the pork hock, discard the bone and skin, shred the meat, and return it to the soup.
- Slice the smoked sausage, add it to the pot, and heat through for 10 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper, discard the bay leaf, and serve very thick.
