- young taro leaves500 g

Method
- Wash the taro leaves well and strip out the thick central ribs.
- Finely chop the onion and stir it into the coconut cream with the salt.
- Lay several taro leaves overlapping on a banana leaf, spoon some coconut mixture into the center, and fold into a tight parcel.
- Repeat to make four parcels, tying each with a strip of banana leaf if needed.
- Set the parcels in a pot with the water, cover, and steam over medium heat for about 1 hour until the leaves are tender.
- Rest for a few minutes, then serve the parcels hot so each person opens their own.
