- pumpkin or winter squash500 g
- all-purpose flour450 g
- butter30 g
- salt1 tsp
- baking powder1 tsp
- vegetable oil for frying500 ml

Method
- Peel the pumpkin, cut it into chunks, and boil until very soft. Drain well and mash until smooth.
- Mix the warm pumpkin puree with salt, melted butter, and baking powder.
- Add the flour gradually and knead into a soft, smooth dough that is not sticky. Rest for 30 minutes.
- Roll the dough to about 5 mm thick and cut into rounds or triangles.
- Heat the oil to medium-high and fry the pieces until puffed and golden on both sides.
- Drain on paper towels and serve warm, plain or with pebre or chancaca syrup.
