• sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed800 g
• unsalted butter30 g
• whole milk100 ml
• salt1 tsp
• black pepper½ tsp

1. Peel the sweet potatoes and cut them into even 2‑cm cubes.
2. Place the cubes in a pot, cover with cold water, add a pinch of salt, and bring to a boil.
3. Reduce heat and simmer until the potatoes are tender, about 15‑20 minutes.
4. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
5. Add butter, milk, salt, and pepper, then mash until smooth and creamy.
6. Serve hot as a side dish.
